Jim Issa, Director
As a senior in college, Issa co-founded The Whole World Theatre. This improv comedy group put its emphasis on acting, character development and creating a story, rather than going for cheap laughs. Issa went on to co-star and co-produce Made Up with Tony Shalhoub of Monk fame. With Shalhoub’s support and advice, Issa got the nudge he needed to move into directing full-time. One of his first directing ventures was to co-direct the 48-Hour Film Moved, which went on to win the award for International Best Picture, beating out over 650 films. Issa has gone on to direct award winning national and regional commercials. His background as an actor and an editor has contributed greatly to a unique directing style. Good Intentions is Jim Issa’s feature film directorial debut.

Pamela Peacock, Producer
Peacock joined the film production world in 2001 when looking to use her MBA for something more creative than consulting and IT project management. In 2002, Peacock teamed up with partner Richard Sampson to form Shadowlight Pictures, a film production company specializing in the production of feature films, high-end TV commercials and branded media. Good Intentions is Peacock’s first feature film. Prior to production, Peacock’s award-winning proposals led Good Intentions to be selected for The Sundance Producer’s Conference, IFP’s Narrative Film Lab and the $100,000 Southeastern Media Award for Production. As a Producer she was involved in every aspect of the project, from script development and re-writes to film editing and music selection. Peacock and Sampson also identified and secured the funding for the multi-million dollar budget.
Peacock’s invaluable experience in marketing and communication combined with her passionate creativity resulted in her career transition at the age of 31, proving it’s never too late to follow your dream. Her biggest inspirations are her cat, Murph, and her Dad, a successful small business owner. Peacock loves Kermit the Frog, peppermint patties, reading a good book, and is currently writing a screenplay that she plans to produce and direct.![]()
Richard Sampson, Producer
“After 20 years of experience producing commercials all over the world, and then winning Best Picture twice for two 48 hour short films, I knew it was time to produce a feature film. Good Intentions is my first feature, and even though it has taken a lot longer than 48 hours to produce, it has been an amazing and challenging experience.”
In 2002, Sampson formed Shadowlight Pictures with partner Pamela Peacock. Sampson developed his expertise over two decades of producing and line-producing a variety of projects, including two documentaries for the Discovery Channel, two 70mm Showscan films for NASCAR and one featuring the 1996 Olympics. In addition to his long form projects, Sampson has also produced millions of dollars worth of national and international television commercials for top advertising agencies and high-profile clients such as Bank of America, Bridgestone Golf, AT&T, Coca-Cola and many more. Sampson has traveled the world shooting in Australia, Iceland, France, Chile, Alaska, Bahamas and Ireland, not to mention almost every state in the U.S.
Sampson loves the challenge of feature film production and is ready for more. Shadowlight Pictures currently has four more feature projects in development.
